Nitin Gadkari: Responsible for Remarkable development and a ‘Flyover Man’

Nitin Gadkari is a very popular name in the Indian Politics. In Bhartiya Janata Party, Nitin Gadkari is among the senior members. Nitin Gadkari is currently the Minister of Road Transport and Highways, shipping and water resources. After the sudden death of former Union Minister Gopinath Munde, Nitin Gadkari was appointed as the additional charge of the Ministry of Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Drinking water and Sanitation. Nitin Gadkari is the man behind the construction of many roads, expressways, flyovers and many infrastructure development projects. Because of these development works, Nitin Gadkari is also known as the ‘flyovers man’. Nitin Gadkari’s early life

Nitin Gadkari was born on 27th May 1957 in Nagpur, Maharashtra to Jairam Gadkari and Mrs Bhanutai Gadkari. Nitin Gadkari had to face many struggles in his early life. Nitin Gadkari completed his M.Com and L.L.B from the University of Nagpur. Nitin Gadkari has also achieved a Diploma in Business Management. Nitin Gadkari got married to Kanchan Gadkari. He has three children, 2 sons Nikhil and Sarang and a daughter Ketki.

Nitin Gadkari’s Political career

During Nitin Gadkari’s teenage, he worked for Bhartiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha and in his college time, in the year 1976, he worked in Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad. When Nitin Gadkari participated in the students union elections from ABVP, he won all the seats in the University of Nagpur. Nitin Gadkari at the age of 24 was appointed as the President of the Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha. Soon after that, Nitin Gadkari became the Secretary of BJP Nagpur City.
In various areas of the district, Nitin Gadkari worked very hard to strengthen the organisation. At the age of 32, Nitin Gadkari became the M.L.C of Nature city. For almost 4 consecutive years, Nitin Gadkari held the position of M.L.C. Nitin Gadkari worked with determination to spread the popularity of the part through Maharashtra. In 1992, Nitin Gadkari won the Nagpur Municipal Corporation elections. And like this, the Political career of Nitin Gadkari started in BJP. In the year 1995 to 1999, Nikhil Gadkari served as the Minister of PWD for the Government of Maharashtra.

Nitin Gadkari, as the PWD Minister of Maharashtra, played a vital role in the development of the very famous Mumbai- Pune Expressway within the time period of just more than 2 years. This commitment in the PWD department showed his skills by the construction of 55 flyovers in the Mumbai city. In his leadership, these flyovers solved the traffic problem for the people of Mumbai up to an extent.

In the Indian general election, 2009, BJP lost its charm and the elections. In December 2009, Nitin Gadkari was appointed as the President of BJP, this was a very crucial time for BJP. Nitin Gadkari focused on Politics of the development from the very first day. Nitin Gadkari focused strongly on developing new infrastructure development projects, Energy consecution, implementation of biofuels and clean energy throughout the Country. The BJP party was monitored by various cells appointed by Nitin Gadkari to implement principles and agendas of the party efficiently.
Nitin Gadkari won the Nagpur’s constituency in the general election, 2014, by a huge margin of outstanding 28500 votes with defeating the Congress party leader Vilas Muttemwar.

Achievements of Nitin Gadkari

In the BJP, Nitin Gadkari is known to have high leadership skills and as a progressive Political leader. Nitin Gadkari has worked for the upliftment of the farmers by providing and empowering them with a better life and living opportunities. As Nitin Gadkari focused on energy conservation and biofuels, he also pioneered India’s first biodiesel pump in the country. By Nitin Gadkari’s initiatives, the so-called Technology Park was developed in central India. Nitin Gadkari also helped in developing solar fencing. In the field of energy conservation, he pioneered the project of power generation from sewage water. Nitin Gadkari implemented the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna in which he constructed many roads networks by joining the rural and village areas of the state with national highways. Nitin Gadkari also implemented many strategies for infrastructure development projects by constructing many road, highways, flyovers and state highway projects. Nitin Gadkari endeavoured in making Nagpur City beautiful and developing.

Nitin Gadkari has revised the construction target of NHAI for 2018-19 from 5,058 to 6000km. His leadership all over years have set new benchmarks in Indian politics.
