Early Life

Narendra Modi was born on 17th September, in the year 1955 in Vadnagar, Mehsana District, Gujarat to Shri DamodardasMulchand Modi andShrimatiHeeraben Modi. Narendra Modi completed his school education from the school in Vadnagar in 1967 and further completed his bachelor’s degree in Bachelor of Arts from the school of open Leaning at the University of Delhi in 1978. Narendra Modi then completed his master’s degree in Master of Art from Gujarat University in the year 1983. Narendra Modi had good debating skills as described by his teachers. As a teenager, Narendra Modi and his brothers used to run a tea stall near a Railway station in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. When Narendra Modi was in school at the age of 8 years, Narendra Modi joined RSS RashtriyaSwayamsevakSangh and began attending Shakhas. In his college days, Narendra Modi was a promoter or Pracharak of RashtriyaSwayamsevakSangh and at the age of 17 years, Narendra Modi left home for 2 years.
In the year 1990, Narendra Modi Completed a three months course on public relations and image management in the US. In late 1990, Narendra Modi was the official Spokesman for the Bharatiya Janata Party in New Delhi. Narendra Modi’s family also served for the nation by his brothers. Somabhai one of Narendra Modi’s brother was an officer and now he is retired and also running an old aged home in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Mr Pankaj is serving in the Information Department in Gujarat Gandhinagar. His another brother Mr.Prahlad is an activist for fair price shop owners in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad.

Narendra Modi’s Political career

Modi has been always a devotee of helping people who are in need. For Indian soldiers in India -Pakistan war of 1965, Narendra Modi served his services voluntarily which was serving without pay at the Railway station. In 1967, Gujarat suffered from floods, Narendra Modi helped and served the needy people. While working in a staff’s canteen of Gujarat Road Transport Corporation, Narendra Modi became campaigner of RSS. Narendra Modi went to Nagpur for training in RSS Camp. As ABVP was known as Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Narendra Modi was given a charge of the student’s wing.
In 1975, when the emergency was proclaimed by Indira Gandhi, a lot of Political leaders were arrested and jail in anti-emergency movement, Narendra Modi contributed outstandingly in the anti-emergency movement which impressed many big political leaders such as Vasant Gajendragadkar and Nathalie Jaghda, these two leaders also founded state unit of BJP in Gujarat. In the year 1987, Narendra Modi joined BJP with the recommendation of RSS. In Murli Manohar Joshi’s “Eta Yatra” the management and efficiency of Narendra Modi were highly recognised by the BJP leaders. The next few years in 1990’s, BJP was emerging as a strong political party with leaders like Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Lal Krishna Advani. In the Indian general election,1999 BJP formed the government and Shri Atal Ji became the Prime Minister of India. Narendra Modi was also appointed as the Chief Minister of Gujarat by BJP, because the previous Chief Minister, Mr Keshubhai Patel had major issues with his health.

Narendra Modi had been elected as the Chief Minister of Gujarat four times in Gujarat’s states assembly because of his outstanding and excellent work of leadership in Gujarat. Narendra Modi’s Government has gone outstanding work in Gujarat by infrastructure development projects of massive 5,00,000 structures. 1,13,738 Dams were constructed all over the state. The agricultural growth rate was increased up to 9.6% from 2001 to 2009.
Electricity power supply in rural areas increased in Gujarat. In 2007, Vibrant Gujarat summit saw in the investment of worth Rs. 6600 billion. Narendra Modi holds a record of holding the CM post for the most number of days in July 2007 for completing 2063 consecutive days as the Chief Minister.

Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister of India by winning the 16th Lok Sabha election with a grand margin of 282 seats in the Lok Sabha with no single opposition party in the Lok Sabha by astonishing the opposition.

Narendra Modi is one of the powerful Prime Ministers of India who is completely dedicated towards the country and has really helped in India’s Growth. Many countries wish their PM to be like Narendra Modi and that shows his leadership skills.
