Beating the odds: Bajaj Qute make India debut on April 18

The new Launch Bajaj Qute, earlier named as Bajaj RE60, is a Rear-wheel-drive, Rear-engine, Four-passenger quadricycle created by an Indian company Bajaj Auto and is seeking towards the Indian domestic market.

It is India’s first ever quadricycle. The almost design and utility of Bajaj Qute is somewhere comes in between of a three-wheeler rickshaw and a proper four-wheeler. Bajaj Auto has been manufacturing the Bajaj Qute in India for a while now for export markets outside the country but now, the company will finally and officially launch Qute in India on April 18, 2019.

The Bajaj Qute first unveiled at the 2012 Auto Expo, with the production version showcased in 2016 at an event. In 2018, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways agreed to the manufacturing of a new class of vehicles called the quadricycles which means that finally the Qute is used for both commercial and personal use as it is road legal in India.

The Bajaj Qute is powered by a 216 cc, twin-spark engine, single-cylinder which is available as a mono-fuel version. Means that you can either get it in petrol form, or CNG, not both. The petrol version of Qute puts out around 13 bhp at 5500 rpm and 18.9 Nm at 4,000 rpm.

And in the CNG variant of Bajaj reckons will be the bigger seller because the CNG version puts out just over 10 bhp of power, the engine is paired to a five-speed gearbox and around 16 Nm of peak torque.
The Bajaj Qute also provides comfortable weather protection, it’s frugal to run and most necessary, convenient to drive and also you can use it in crowded areas. But Qute at Rs 2.64 lakh for the petrol variant, and ₹ 2.84 lakh (all prices ex-showroom) for the CNG version, But it is still expensive as the three-wheeled auto-rickshaw costs around a lakh.
